Vantage Diagnostics can provide an end-to-end clinical service from GP referral to completion of treatment using remote consultant dermatologists as in support of or as an alternative to local NHS secondary care.

Prevent Unneccessary Referrals

The benefits of Vantage Teledermatology to a healthcare organisation are not limited to cost savings through the prevention of unnecessary referrals from primary to secondary care through triage and rapid diagnosis and/or treatment plan. Primary care, usually nurse-led, can secure remote and early (potentially immediate) consultant dermatologist advice and support for patients in their local GP surgery, in establishing an appropriate diagnosis and recommended treatment plan. That a GP and/or practice nurse may electronically archive cases adds significant value to the service and is particularly important in the treatment of long-term conditions, in medico-legal activity and the management of complaints.

In a hospital environment, Vantage Teledermatology can be deployed within accident and emergency departments or between specialist units, to identify the severity in condition of, for instance, a patient with extensive burns/scalds.

Essentially, through the use of agreed care pathways, Vantage Teledermatology links healthcare professionals together in order to achieve optimum patient care and facilitate best clinical practice.

Patient Notifications

Throughout the process, SMS and email messages can inform the referring clinician and patient of the status of their case. Upon completion of Vantage Diagnostics’ report, and with the agreement of the referring clinician, the patient may log in securely to his/her personal site to view the diagnosis or treatment action plan. In addition, the patient may order his prescribed drugs directly to his preferred address.

Total Teledermatology Solution

Vantage Diagnostics is able to provide customers with a total teledermatology solution that includes system implementation and training, the hardware and software, clinical and technical support and rapid, high quality remote reporting from a GMC registered consultant dermatologist. Turnkey solutions may also be tailored if so desired as the software is white-labelled and can be translated into over twenty languages.
